September Newsletter

SEPTEMBER

Hello Indian Trail,

We are very excited about this upcoming school year. First off, we are going to have p.e. everyday in grades 1st-5th. Daily physical education has become a district wide policy and we couldn't be happier with the change. Secondly, we have a new physical education teacher. Sherri Henkel comes to us from Red Oak school and she has been with District 112 for 19 yrs. We are so happy to add Miss Henkel to our I.T. family and we ask you to join us in welcoming her to our school.

Curriculum-
Recently, our blacktop was resurfaced and painted with with all kinds of games. Some of the games are new and we will be focusing our first few classes on learning those games. From there, the students in grades 3rd-5th will be fitness testing while grades k-2 will be involved in fitness games. To end the month of September all grades will be participating in a cooperative games unit and possibly a team building unit.

Reminders-
Please remember to wear gym shoes to class everyday.
